My Duke of Edinburgh Experiance - and this was only day 1...

 

 

                                Hey guys ,

 

You better appreciate this post because it took me bloody long to edit all this together. Now people who know me a little might know that I love creating and designing things but I am not however the smartest person at using what I call ‘young peoples common sense’ in other words tech-y knowledge.

 

So when I spent 2 hours slowly piecing together 4 hours worth of footage on window’s movie maker and adding my cheeky little comments it took me—lets just say a tedious amount of time to complete– the kind of length of time where you feel like you could have done something more this evening and then you get all teary that you didn't watch your come dine with me and suddenly feel guilty that your not sociable at all and then you start to feel like you have no friends and before you know it your singing ‘You’ve got a friend in me to your tangerine.

 

It happens to everyone.

So todays blog is about a little challenge that teenagers around the Uk (maybe the globe , I'm not too sure—I really should have researched this a little more shouldn't i!

 

Anyway its about

THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD –yay party rock :)

 

My team consisted of 6 girls (Me , Katie , Emily , Chardae, Melissa and Catherine) and our leader Mr Taylor or Nick/Nico/Chico/Nick with the stick (oh cheeky its not what I sounds like honest)

If you have read my ‘It's okay to hate life ’ post  you will already know about one of the stories that occurred on the journey. Really it is a bit of a laugh and we all had a great time so enjoy coming along on the journey!

I would also like to add I do not own any music or pictures in this slide so don’t go sueing me okay now! And also this is uploaded to my brothers youtube channel because he is a don and has a verified account unlike the little criminal me who can only upload like 30 seconds of footage!

Youtubers that make me chuckle.

Hey guys ,

So as I'm now on the social networking ladder that is the world I have decided to share with you my favourite you tubers so you too can live in my shoes for the day (lucky people you are—oh and you better have small feet or otherwise this won’t work!)

I have to admit I was never a fan of the internet until not long ago—I don't like people contacting me all the time or knowing everything about me and the sad life I'm living. Yes I know what your thinking –miserable loner –and yes its probably true—I would rather have a curry , knit and watch ‘the Great British bake off’  than spend those exciting hours and raving times at the local park drinking myself to pissing levels-because we all know how fun sitting in a circle can be!

But then I thought to myself , if I'm going to start a blog and expect people to read it , why shouldn’t I read and watch other peoples posts. And so this is how addition started , because all you YouTube trawlers out there will know once you start-you just cant stop. Like Connor Baby Faced Maynard—I just can’t say no—except this time lets clarify its not to girl but to you tuber’s.

Because it starts with checking out a video your friend has suggested –then the next thing you know your clicking down the devils side bar and ending up on ‘Kid chews his own tongue.’ Yknow what I mean?!

So here are a few of my favourite you tubers –and hey lets categorise them –yolo right? *thinks to self wow not only I have I sunk to the level of yolo but I'm yolo-ing putting things in to a categorical order-now I see why you thought I was a sad loner-point taken* -

 

 

 

For me its got to be Cristina Grimme—I know people have their own opinions and their own musical tastes but with Christina there's no doubting that this girl can sin and not just sing but SANG –yknow what I'm saying. All of these fresh new artists are being moulded into a category of music and –Aint nobody got time for that! when a person is a great artist I believe they can sing anything you through at them. If you understand great music you won’t want to miss this! She is an extremely well know you tuber –but its for a reason you people so go watch—here's one of her videos of a song from Les Miserables—just to be up with the trends( is that the expression –no its not but I cant think of it , please comment below if you know the expression or it will be bugging me for the rest of the day-I hate those things!)

 

Now how about a few less well known you tubers that actually reek with talent—their dripping with it in fact and I'm sure will make it big time one day …

 

Charmaine Dawson has got one of the most beautiful and hair raising haunting voices I have ever heard. She has a YouTube channel called CharmaineDmusic. She takes songs like Matilda—Alt J , If You wanna-The Vaccines and We will rock you-Queen and twists and turns them into a melody filled with Licks and harmonies—Its such an experienced voice for a young person and she is so much better than she thinks she is. Every time a new video is posted I put my headphones on and close my eyes –its like listening to an established recording artist. If you love Ellie Golding , Gabrielle Aplin and Ed Sheeran you will love this channel so check it out.

 

Charlotte Meldrum posts videos of her playing her ukulele and singing—she has a fair amount of covers but also a huge dose of originals in there as well. I haven’t been watching her videos for long but I tell you now I am addicted tot his voice and I can tell this is going to be a big name in the near future. Her originals are catchy and melodic—I have to admit I can’t stop singing them. Because I also play the ukulele I think I am intrigued to what others do with it and also I think its quite a trendy instrument at the moment (listen to me I sound like a middle aged women) She has an effortless voice which is soft and sweet. If you like Orla Gartland it’s a very similar style.

 

Well, Comedy lets see  to be honest I'm going to have to go awall(oh its telling me I need to change this word to anal—I guess that would fit as well though) on you guys and go all mainstream but its got to be danisnotonfire for me! Its his sarcasm that does it I think. Anyone who knows me will know I have an odd sense of humour –its very dry (I’m not sure what a wet sense of humour would be like but I guess a little sticky right?) One of the only you tubers that can get my funny bones moving and make me laugh out loud like a jolly chubby man. Great for a cheering up session!

 

 

 

 

 

H’mm Vlogs—well I’m not really sure what the lines are between blogging and comedy (I really should shouldn't I because I’m the one categorising them) But its probably Pointless Blog. Sorry guys going all Indie (which is my terms for mainstream –because indie isn’t indie anymore-IRONIC*sang*.)This is where Alfie and quite often Marcus will blog or ’vlog’ about random issues that surround are lack of social lives. I know he has many fans over the world—um which is of course including his number 1 fan-me-who stalks him round him garden and pipes his name onto my face with toothpaste. Just joking –I’m not a crazy mega fan , but his videos are entertaining—and that’s what its about isn't it really.so.yeah. If you want to be entrtained go to this channel.

 

Also DailyGrace has got to mentioned in this section—um just because she a don. She posts a video everyday-I have no idea how she keeps up. I have to warn you all now if any young people are reading (including myself) it is slightly crude and rudeness does occur so don’t go watching this with your grandad or something. Not quite sure in what context you would be doing that—but in any case you have been warned. She is really just an average girl—once again a very dry sense of humour but great for a ‘yeah I can totally relate to you video’! Which links nicely back to my Sniglets post below!

 

Now most people would probably say the obvious for this section which is of course the God which is Zoella and I love her videos but my personal favourite beauty videos are from a less know you tuber called BrighteyedBeauty26. She is very similar to me in her mannerisms –her videos are extremely chatty , but I quite like that , I get so excited every time a new video is posted on her channel. I make a large mug of tea and get a blanket and snuggle up to watch. Its a very friendly video most of the time and she doesn't patronise you for not knowing anything either. Its also nice to know what people recommend for beauty products and what works for a normal everyday girl from near your area-because lets face it there's nothing worse than buying rubbish product for like £20 big ones and then you look like a smurf –its happened to everyone! Really hope her channel takes off she so deserves it! So watch now! -OHH and also there is quite a bit on fashion on this channel so this is my pick for fashion videos also!

 

 

 

 

 

 

And my final category is just the odd videos that trend for a reason and I have decide to pick my top 3 of all time.

3. Aint nobody got time for that women—we all know what this video is and when everyone was raving about it at school to be honest it made me want to watch it less because I hate being the same as everyone else , but I finally gave in to this video a few months ago and I have to admit. Its raw goodness.

2. Its got to be the dolphin guy on Britain’s got talent a few years ago –what was that all about –belly laughter!

3.I have to admit this one is a bit immature and crude but yknow when things just make you laugh for no reason—well this is one of them—for some reason this just cracks me up every time. I don't even know why. I know it’s a bit lower class but enjoy what I think is the best thing in the universe that is my life.
